Valencia CF Femenino claimed a valuable point away at Levante UD Femenino in the Teika derby. Jesús Oliva’s side got themselves in front through María Portales’ opener as M. Méndez got the home side back on level terms in the 27th minute.
The game saw a cagey start from both sides as the home side enjoyed further possession in the opposition half.
Enith pulled off a sensational stop to an accurate Redondo effort which she turned behind for a corner kick and only two minutes later, María responded at the other end after collecting an inch-perfect Asun cross which she finished off past Tarazona.
Levante UD Femenino continued to enjoy ball possession despite going 0-1 down. Alas,
Valencia CF Femenino's advantage was short-lived as the home side got back on level terms in the 27th minute when M. Menéndez made it 1-1 to Levante UD Femenino.
Valencia CF tried to shake off the pressure from the home side to test their keeper. Albeit it was Enith who produced heroics to deny Marta Ramírez the breakthrough in the closing minutes of the first half.
The first half finished all square at 1-1 at the Ciutat De València.
Valencia CF Femenino were put on the back foot by the home side who applied a lot of pressure high up the pitch. However, Asun enjoyed a one-on-one situation in the 52nd minute which was kept out by the Levante UD Femenino keeper.
The contest evened out in terms of dominance with chances for either side up against an in-form Enith who continued to stop every effort coming her way.
The derby opened up in the final 15 minutes and both sides kept on pushing for the winning goal. Alas, the scoreline remained unchanged and the local derby finished honours even at the Ciutat de València.
